Blessing

This music will make you want to get up and dance. Blessing is a new artist on the music scene with his first recording project debut. Blessing grew up in Nigeria and at the age of 10 lost his sight. He moved to the US in search of a better education system for those with sight impairment. This move proved to be providential as he lived with his uncle in Connecticut who encouraged his music endeavors.

Blessing has become a well rounded artist as he plays multiple instruments, sings, writes his own songs and arranges parts. “I like the kind of music that makes you snap your fingers, and still
manages to leave you with something to think about. That’s the kind of music I try to make”

He has performed as the opening act for The Temptations, Average White Band, Tower of Power, and New Orleans blues legend Dr. John. Blessing is also featured on a Christmas compilation from The Weather Channel with other artists such as Aaron Neville, Amy Grant, Ray Charles and The Beach Boys. He recorded the Christmas classic 'Winter Wonderland' as only he could.

Blessing began writing his own material for his first recording and 10 of these 11 songs are written by him. Blessing met Emmy and Grammy award producer Steve Ivey in Nashville, TN and they began this musical journey of recording together.
